The 2012 Singapore Invitational Challenge is a yearly event held on May 26â“27 at the East Coast Park Raceway. It was a 2-day event and this year it was a big turn-out with 120 drivers in both classes coming from Australia, Brunei, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia. The race format was a Christmas tree with no Top 4 sit-out for both 1/10 and 1/8 classes. The schedule was three rounds of qualifying on Saturday and all finals on Sunday.
Saturday (Qualifying Rounds)
After three rounds of qualifying, five NT1 and four RX8 managed to get into the semi-finals and the results of the top 14 drivers were as follows:

Semi-Finals
After some exciting racing in both semis, XRAY driver Erwin Luhur managed to get the pole starting position in the 1/8 class with teammate Sadikin starting in 5th position. For the 1/10 class, XRAY driver Barry Ng started from the 4th position, Bowie Ginting in 5th, Erwin Luhur in 7th and Sadikin in 12th position.
Finals:
In its first race, the RX8 2012 version showed very good performance with a very consistent pace. XRAY driver Erwin Luhur got onto the Podium, while teammate Sadikin was not so lucky as he had some technical problem in the final. The final results are as follows:
